Integrated modelling of M. bovis transmission in badgers and cattle - SE3007

Description
This propsosal seeks to refine the current CSL badger/TB model by the analysis of data produced by the current field trial, and to produce parameter estimates to include cattle herd within the model. This will allow CSL to make recommendations to DEFRA about badger and cattle control based on the most up to date information avaliable.

We also suggest that these recommendations would be greatly improved by passing these parameter estimates to other researchers outside DEFRA. We have thus included a number of options to integrate this analysis with other researchers which may be bolted onto this project. Estimates of the latter are given, but not included in the overall totals.
Objective
1. Identify and analyse data obtained from the current field trial to improve estimates of model parameters.

2. Extend the current CSL badger. TB models to include realistic cattle herds, with livestock movements.

3. Investigate management strategies, including badger/cattle vaccination and badger control.
