Multispecies fisheries management: a management procedure for North Sea sandeels - MF0318

Description
Summary Objectives:-
Using multi-species models, develop a better understanding of how industrial fishing, through its removal of prey species, affects the distribution and abundance of predators, including commercial fish species such as cod and non-fish such as seals.

Key Customer Purpose:-
For North Sea industrial fisheries, enable DEFRA to develop appropriate management approaches and participate in international discussions, based on a sound understanding of the interactions between these fisheries and commercial stocks and non-fish predators.
