Description
Summary Objectives:-
Through a programme of sampling discarded fish from commercial catches in various trawl métiers, assess the relationship between gear type, fish catches, and catches of benthos in trawl fisheries.
Key Customer Purpose:-
Improve knowledge of the benthic effects of trawl gears to allow MAFF to assess the impact of various trawling gears, and to determine priorities for future research into the environmental impacts of trawling. |
