PKD life cycle studies (was FC0441) - FC1114

Summary Objectives:-
Identify the infective stages of PKX, the causative agent of PKD using PCR and to characterise the intermediate host for the parasite, so that effective control methods for PKD can be developed.

Key Customer Purpose:-
Through better understanding of the life cycle and reservoir status of priority fish pathogens such as PKX enable improved control procedures to be developed and potential therapeutants and vaccines to be better targeted.
