Description
Summary Objective:
Develop the application of side scan sonar technology as a tool for monitoring dispersion processes in the coastal zone beyond the surf zone, including those processes associated with rare extreme storm events when sediment transport reached a peak.
Key Customer Purpose:
Develop an instrument able to detect and track surface features, waves, bubble clouds, pressure and temperature sensors, and thus determine areas which are at risk of severe erosion.
