Development of instrumentation for in-situ shear stress measurement - FD1005

Summary Objective:
Develop a lighter, more portable, easier and quicker to use version of the existing prototype ISIS (Instrument for Shear Stress In-situ), which can be applied to routine measurement on cohesive sediments.

Key Customer Purpose:
Provide an improved version of ISIS (Instrument for Shear Stress In-situ) that will enable routine measurements of cohesive sediments, and thus predict the onset of erosion across a greater range of coastal and estuarine areas.
