N loss from organic manures (Previously NT0309) - NT1405

This study will aim to investigate the role and significance of organic manures in the transport of N and P to surface waters in the UK. A range of sampling and analytical techniques will be employed to measure N and P in soil, effluent and surface water samples following land application of organic manures. Data generated by the study will contribute to the development of conceptual models which will assist in the identification and control of non-point source N and P losses from agriculture in UK catchments.
