Objective 1. To develop a method for directly measuring the fermentable energy fraction of forages and associated rate(s) of fermentation objective 2 To determine the fermentable energy characteristics of a range of fresh grassess and grass silage.Objective 3 To assess the ability of wet chemical analysis or NIRS to predict the nutrional value measured in objective 2.
