Instrumentation for trawl gear angle of attack meter - MF0608

Description
R&D Summary Objective:- To investigate means of providing measurements of Otter Board angle for trials on commercial vessels. Key customer purpose:- Assistance to industry in designing appropriate trawl doors in order to reduce drag. (Previous MAFF priority area).
Objective
1. To include development of the single prototype meter device including calibration and sea trials. 2. To carry out trials with the complete (three unit) system. 3. To produce an operators manual for the system (it would therefore be available for use by DAFS Marine Lab or other research establishments).
