Effectiveness of soil-based remedial measures in reducing radionuclide availability to crops - RP0212

Soil-based countermeasures can reduce radionuclide uptake by plants either by decreasing radionuclide concentrations in the soil solution or by inceasing the concentration of competing ions in the same phase. This project aims to evaluate the effect of common soil treatments on these two parameters.
To produce a methodology that will enable the effectiveness of practical soil-based countermeasures to be predicted for different soil types under different land management regimes.
