Multispecies fisheries management-data support computing and routine advice for policy - MF0305

Description
Non R&D Summary Objectives:- Using existing multispecies, multifleet and other models provide essential scientific support and advice to Policy, ICES and STECF in the development of appropriate UK and EC Management regimes. Key customer purpose:- Ensure that Management regimes adopted by the UK and the EC are based on a full appreciation of the complex multispecies and multifleet interactions and enable Policy to obtain quick responses to questions on Management options and implications.
Objective
- To provide rational data as required by international working groups (eg. ICES Methods, Multispecies, Long-term Management) under the auspices of ICES and the EC. - To provide appropriate computer support for the provision of ad hoc advice. - To provide timely multispecies/multifleet advice to HQ. - To provide essential scientific support and advice to ICES, STECF and Policy on the development of appropriate management regimes.
