R&D Summary Objectives:- Investigate factors which control larval growth leading to reliable hatchery production and a better assessment of natural recruitment variability. Key customer purpose:- Precompetitive R&D to encourage the development of a valuable King Scallop cultivation industry. Provide details on recruitment variability leading to improved management of wild stocks.
Objective
1.To investigate the factors which control broodstock productivity and larval growth performance to: i: maximise reliability of hatchery production. ii: assess the viability of juveniles. iii: determine the factors which affect natural recruitment.
