Monitoring of the atmospheric and terrestrial environment (Replaced by AE0125) - AE0102

Non R&D Summary Objectives:- Monitor accidental discharges of radionuclides to the atmosphere and detect contamination of food. Key customer purpose:- Meet obligations under the Radioactive Substances Act 1960 and enable MAFF to ensure food safety under FEPA Pt I, in response to radioactive emissions to air.
To provide a monitoring programme for radioactivity in the atmosphere which might be of significance to food.
