Non R&D Summary Objectives:- Asses applications to discharge radioactive waste and set and enforce authorisations. Undertake required sampling and inspection programmes to monitor and assess doses of radiation to the public and the aquatic environment. Key customer purpose:- Authorise radioactive waste discharges on a sound scientific basis. SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: Assess applications to discharge radioactive waste & set & enforce authorisations.
