Scoping towards an inventory of UK wetlands - BE01103

Description
The aim of this study is to investigate strategic wetland information issues, including considering approaches towards the development of a UK wetland inventory and its various applications. This is an exploratory area of work, and the overall aim is to understand what a UK wetland inventory might look like and how all the available information would sit together (contributing to various policy- and science-relevant purposes), including the potential of developing an associated Geographic Information System of mapped habitat information.
Objective
Setting out the scientific, technical, and logistical requirements for developing a first comprehensive inventory of UK wetlands

Understanding what this might constitute, including the development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) based approach.
