Amenity Value Benefits of a Deposit Return Scheme for Drinks Containers - EQ0126
|
Description
The purpose of this study is to further develop the evidence base on the amenity benefits of a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). The study results will be used to update the aggregate benefit estimates in a revision of the Impact Assessment for the expected second consultation phase. |
Objective
The specific study objectives are to provide additional evidence on the benefits of reducing litter disamenity, and specifically to: • Estimate aggregate benefit of a DRS, providing a broad account of the range of disamenity impacts associated with litter, and • Examine how sensitive benefits are to local attributes, namely, location, composition and accumulation of litter, to provide additional insight into the potential impacts of a DRS. |
