Natural Capital provision thorugh AES - LM0480

Description
Scoping study to establish to what extent the contribution of current schemes to natural capital can be described, quantified and valued.
Objective
1. Identify where evidence can be used to assess the impact of Countryside Stewardship (CS) options on natural capital and the services and benefits it provides.
2. Map CS options to natural capital logic chains.
3. Use the mapping and scheme data to estimate the current contribution that CS agreements are making to natural capital.
4. Establish where valuation methodologies exist that are applicable to the benefits provided by CS options.
5. Summarise gaps in evidence and data and make recommendations for future work to enable more accurate assessment of the contribution of schemes to natural capital.
