Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Greening Module in the 2014/15 Farm Business Survey (FBS) - DO0150

Description
The collection of this data through the FBS (which collects detailed economic information on the farm business) will allow an analysis of the economic impacts on individual farm businesses. It will also help us explore the economic impacts of any future changes to the Greening policy. The results are critical in implementing the Greening Monitoring and Evaluation plan, which will in turn inform the broader CAP Monitoring and Evaluation Programme.
Objective
The data collected through this module will enable us to explore the impact of Greening on farmers, and provide an evidence-based assessment to inform the UK’s negotiating position on Greening for the European Commission’s review. The research will collect data from a representative sample of 1300 farms to provide a baseline for evaluating the economic and environmental impacts of the new Ecological Focus Area (EFA) requirement as part of Greening within the CAP from 2015.
