Description
This work is part of the requirement to support the agreement and implementation of a new EU F-gas Regulation and ongoing negotiations to minimise other impacts to the environment of an accelerated phase out of ozone depleting substances (HCFCs) under the Montreal Protocol.
Objective
• Development of HFC reference values, HFC quota allocations and a quota registry – April 2014 to December 2014 including:

- Registration and declarations by incumbents and new entrants – April 2014 to June 2014.
- Verifying and approving quota reference values – September/October 2014.
- Development of a suitable reporting format – October 2014 to December 2014.
- Development of some guidance documents (on quota allocation process, company reporting, FAQs) – April 2014 to December 2014.

• Preparatory work on training and certification requirements – January 2015 to March 2015.

• Development of labelling requirements – January 2015 – March 2015.
