Social and Ethical Sourcing Criteria - EV0476

Description
This study’s objective was to scope and assess the feasibility of adopting social and ethical criteria within the above 5 product categories, with the outputs intended to provide clarity as to what is possible within the constraints of the European Union Procurement Directives and UK public law. A pragmatic approach has been taken, focusing on relevant and potentially deliverable outcomes.
Objective
The Project Team, on behalf of Defra (in partnership with the Higher Education Sustainable Procurement Centre of Excellence), has explored social and ethical criteria that have the potential to be used across public sector procurement.
