Description
Defra contribution to the Natural Hazards Partnership project to develop a natural hazards impacts model to quantify the impacts from a range of hazardous natural elements to allow better understanding of the impact risks of single and multiple hazard events on critical assets and services. |
Objective
The Defra contribution will be put towards 1) the project managament and coordingation of the project, including organising a Hazard Impact Model state of science conference and workshop for partners; and 2) development of the impcat and vulnerability work package, investigating scope of what impact data might be required within the surface water flooding, Land Instability and wind models and to pruce summary reports for these. Examination of Hazard Impact database with UCL and production of summary report. Prototype web service visualising receptor information to NHP members.
