Farmer Behaviour and Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Reform - DO0132

Description
The research will be focussed on a number of key CAP policy areas where understanding of how farmers might respond to proposed CAP policies (including understanding attitudes, behaviour and/ or practices) will support the UK negotiating position. For example, it is likely to focus on aspects of the CAP negotiations where we expect behavioural change to be the greatest e.g. incentivising the effects of various aspects of the Pillar 1 Programme such as Greening, Producer Organisations, Small Farmer Scheme.
Objective
This piece of research will support the Defra CAP Reform Team in its European Union (EU) negotiations on CAP Reform – where they are seeking to “ [i]influence reform in Europe to support strong, sustainable agricultural and fishing industries.”
