Contribution to the development of urban settlement mapping 2011 - RE0256

Description
The Urban Settlements Dataset was created under contract to the Office of National Statistics (ONS) on behalf of a consortium of central government departments comprising the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the Welsh Government (WG).
The primary use of the data is to allow 2011 Census results to be released for urban settlements. It will also form the basis of a revised rural-urban classification. ONS will also make the digital boundaries available to a wide user base within Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) community.
