Description
The natural environment delivers a range of ecosystems services that play a valuavle role for society and the economy. In the contecxt of climate change, the natural environment is not on a theme that is impacted by can also offer response options, however such investments are not always financillay attracitve to landowners and land managers to deliver the services that might be required. This project is to review and identify barriers and challenges for payments for ecosystems services that might exist in the context of climate change adaptation. |
Objective
The overall aim of this research is to provide a short evidence and analysis review that will be able to feed into both the PES action plan and the National Adaptiona Programme. The specific objectives are to provide an overview of the potential use of payments for ecosystems mechanisms for delivery of natural environment / green infrastructure solutions for cliamte change adaptation |
