Assessing change in the timing of biological event in spring for the UK and England, 1891 - 2011 2011 - WC1045

The project will interrogate the UK phenology network data to provide a metric which describes how timing of biological events has changed over the last 100 years, and asses the extent to which this is correlated with temperature variables for the UK. The metric will be used in the UK and England biodiversity indicators.
1. To provide data to update the England and UK Spring Index using the latest figures up to and including 2012.
2. To provide suggested wording to update the accompanying indicator text
3. To analyse and present graphically the relationship in UK and England between mean spring temperature and the timing of biological events.
