`Impact of pH and Temperature on Heat, Cold or Acid Tolerance in Salmonella Enteritidis` - FS1005

Selection of strains of S.enteritidis which show either enhanced or decreased resistance to cold, heat or acid. Examine the impact of exposure to either salt, low or high temperatures and their interaction on the heat, pH or cold tolerance of S.enteritidis. Studies will include examination of survival profiles in laboratory media.
(Final) To provide definitive information on the changes of either temperature or acid tolerance brought about by the exposure of S.enteritidis PT4 to a variety of environments.
