Objective
Objective 1. Review existing VLA rabies risk assessments.
Objective 2. Develop a quantitative risk assessment to estimate the risk of introducing rabies to the UK via the non-commercial movement of pets under the current scheme (PETS and quarantine).
Objective 3. Predict the change to the risk of rabies introduction to the UK if the EUPMP is adopted
Objective 4. For both the current UK scheme and EUPMP, investigate the importance of compliance on the risk of rabies introduction to the UK.
Objective 5. Communicate the results of the risk assessment for Defra.
