Salmonella Enteritidis & S.Typhimurium in egg production: Elimination from flocks &characterisation of public health risks - OZ0332

Objective
01. Elimination of Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) / S. Typhimurium (ST) from commercial laying flocks during lay and determination of a validation procedure.

02. Determination of the level of contamination from eggs produced by commercial laying flocks infected with Salmonella Typhimurium (ST), and other serovars and characterisation of the public health risks.

03. Investigation of genetic markers for egg invasiveness and pathogenicity in Salmonella Enteritidis strains.
