Public Understanding of links between Climate Change and Energy and Food consumption in the Home - EV0402
|
Description
Given the significant proportion of UK carbon dioxide emissions that arise as a result of in-home behaviour by the general public, it is of considerable importance that Government is able to deliver the messages and interventions that will enable the public most easily and effectively to change its behaviour in a manner that is both effective and cost-effective.
This present research will therefore deploy qualitative research techniques to:
- probe more deeply into the public's understanding of the relationship between their in-home behaviours and their climate change consequences, looking in particular at specific areas of behaviour where there is the greatest possible traction in terms of effecting behaviour change
- explore and test information and communication interventions focusing on those specific behaviours, with a view to informing future targeted behaviour change campaigns by Government |
