Habitat Connectivity - Development of an indicator for the EBS, UK and CBD reporting - part 1 investigation of the data sets and possibilities - WC0704

Description
This project will produce an indicator of functional habitat connectivity for the UK and for England. It will have four phases: 1. Investigation of potential data sources to provide time-series data; 2. Testing and evaluation of a range of metrics; 3. Consultation on options; 4. Production of recommended indicator(s) and associated data.
Objective
To produce an indicator of functional habitat connectivity for the UK and for England. There will be four objectives:
1. To identify and compare potential data sources to provide time-series data (to include Countrysied Survey and the Landcover map;
2. To test and evaluate of a range of metrics for each of the data sources;
3. To consultation the scientific community on the suitablility and ease of understanding of each options
4. To produce of a recommended indicator(s) and associated metadata
Note that this project will be managed jointly with Landscape Permeability PBC 14/07.
