Co-Financing for the European Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) for the Monitoring of Viral and Bacteriological Contamination of Bivalve Molluscs - SD0444

Description
The main of the objectives of the Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) are:
a) To provide National Reference Laboratories (NRLs)with details of analytical methods, including reference methods;
b) Co-ordinating application by the NRLs of the methods referred to in (a), in particular by organising comparative testing and by ensuring an appropriate follow-up of such comparatieve testing in accordance with internationally accepted protocols, when available;
c) Co-ordinating within the area of competence, practical arrangements needed to apply new analytical methods and informing NRLs of advances in this field;
d) Conducting initial and further training couses for the benefit of staff from NRLs and of experts from developing countries;
e) Providing scientific and technical assistance to the Commission, especially in cases where Member States contest the result of analysis. |
