A Study of the Natural Steroid Hormone Levels in Meat Producing Animals - VM02153
Objective
1. Production of a report collating the results of a desk based review of available information on endogenous steroids in food producing animals including levels and matrices. (month 4)
2. Agree the range of analyte matrix combinations with the sponsor taking into consideration the aim of the analysis, i.e. to provide information to allow an informed assessment of the impact of natural steroid levels on the consumer or to provide information resulting in appropriate threshold or action levels being assigned. (month 5)
3. Develop appropriate multi-residue methods. (month 12)
4. Validate assay as fit for purpose based upon a GLP type approach. (month 15)
5. Obtain and analyse samples using methods developed in 3, 4 above. (month 30)
6. Apply appropriate statistical approaches to data generated in 5 above. (month 33)
7. Produce one or more reports for sample analyte matrix combinations as appropriate. (month 36)
