Evaluation of educational access in agri-environment schemes - MA01033
|
Description
In 2003, changes and enhancements to Educational Access were introduced to the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, following the agri-environment access review in 2002. This evaluation contract will examine, from a sample of around 100 agreements, how successful these changes have been. The intention is also that the contractor will survey users of educational access to ensure that it is meeting their expectations.
Evaluation Objectives
1) Determine the effectiveness of Defra’s educational access in meeting the expectations of users.
2) Evaluate the recent improvements made to Defra’s educational access option.
3) Evaluate the current criteria RDS advisers use to approve the inclusion of educational access in an agreement and suggest improvements e.g. eligibility.
4) Examine how educational access within agri-environment schemes relates to wider provision of educational access in England and include a ‘value for money’ assessment.
