Modelling the potential impacts of endocrine disruption on fish populations - WT0714GWD

The project will develop a package of work that will build on an established programme of ED research and fisheries population modelling techniques to determine the consequences of exposure to Endocrine Disruptive Compounds on the sustainability of fish populations, via the Agency’s sentinel species for sexual disruption in freshwater fish; the roach (Rutilus rutilus).
To provide modelling predictions supported by baseline field sampling of the potential impacts of endocrine disruption in roach populations. This will enable the Agency to formulate any subsequent regulatory activity of endocrine compounds in effluents and inform the cost/benefit assessment of such a strategy.
