Economic Evaluation of the Arable Areas Payment Scheme - Follow up Study - ER02029

Description
Following agreement on reform of the CAP in May 1992 the Arable Area Payments Scheme, a new support scheme for arable producers, was introduced in the Autumn of 1992. This EU scheme was created as a response to the need to control excessive levels of intervention stocks and is administered in the UK by the four Agriculture Departments. The EU policy objectives of the scheme are to control production of certain arable crops within the EU and consequently to restrain storage and disposal costs.
