Economic Evaluation of Horticultural Development Council 1998 - ER02016

The Horticulture Development Council was set up in 1986 to fund research and development in the horticulture sector, other than apples and pears, by means of a levy raised from horticultural growers. It has a current annual budget of around £3.5 million.

As with all Development Councils established under the Industrial Organisation and Development Act 1947, the Horticultural Development Council is subject to quinquennial review. The next of these reviews is due to take place in 1999.
