Rural Proofing for Health - RE03003

Description
Earlier work funded by the Department for Health established a methodology for rural proofing at PCT level; Defra are funding work to validate, publish and disseminate the toolkit. The tool kit provides a resource for PCTs and will ultimately benefit the health and well being of the people living in rural communities. The toolkit has been developed in CD Rom format, as a web based resource and as a hard copy. The work was carried out by the Institute of Rural Health and covers: · Access to services/transport · Primary Care · Community Care · Specialist services · Hospital services · Patient and Public Involvement
