Climate Change Imapcts and Adaptation: cross Regional Research Programme - Quantify the Costs of Impacts and Adaptation - GA01075

Description
The overall aim of the project is to provide an improved estimate of the economic/financial costs that climate change will impose on the UK through a number of the key impacts. A primary purpose of the proposed study is therefore to provide first estimates of sectoral costs over a number of future time periods and under a range of climate change and socio-economic scenarios. As far as possible, the cost estimates will be made with and without adaptation - i.e. the residual and gross costs will be estimated.
The project will include a case study to estimate the net costs to the UK of the unusually hot weather experienced during the summer of 2003.
