Research the feasibility of enabling an Association of commons registration officers - RE0222

Description
This study will research the feasibility of establishing an Association of commons registration officers employed by commons registration authorities, as well as of interested individuals, across England, in order to improve delivery of existing and proposed reform to common land legislation.
Objective
To identify the demand and support for an Association of commons registration officers and the benefits that might arise from such an Association:This objective would cover an assessment of the interest and commitment to an Association (both financial and otherwise) from local authorities and others and the likelihood of a sufficient number of authorities participating to generate the required critical mass and numbers to make the Association self financing.

To identify the most appropriate structure and constitution for the Association based on a review of other similar associations:This objective would cover examination of other like associations to assess what structure and constitution would best meet the needs of commons registration officers and the benefits that they wish to gain from the Association.

To develop a preferred model for an Association of commons registration officers and the benefits that might arise from such an Association:These three objectives are interdependent to the extent that the successful completion of the second objective is partly dependent on understanding the demand and support for an Association of commons registration officers; while the third objective can only be met on the completion of work relating to the first two objectives.
