Rural Services Customer Survey - RE0220
|
Description
The aim of this rersearch is to monitor the experience using rural services among two key customer groups: people who live in rural areas and managers of businesses operating in rural areas. The research will focus primarily but not exclusively on those services targeted through the rural PSA - public and community transport, education, health, cash and ICT. |
Objective
The contractors are required to interview two key customer groups – people who live in urban/rural areas and managers of businesses operating in urban/rural areas – to obtain baseline information on their:
awareness of the availability, and use, of the services – both the presence/location of services and the range of services offered at that location. For example, awareness of the options for accessing cash through post offices and the take-up of accounts available from the post office for this purpose. Also the awareness of the role of organisations such as Defra.
experience of, and satisfaction with, the services – both the presence/location of services and the range of services offered at that location. The questions should examine the factors driving both satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
need for, importance placed on, and expectations of, service provision – both the presence/location of services and the range of services offered at that location.
problems in using services – frequency and purpose of current usage, the barriers that prevent access or make access difficult, the effects of this, views on how those barriers could be alleviated or removed and the effects of doing so.
