Automatic Reconfigurable Food Handling and Packaging System for Confectionery(AFM211) - FT1518

Description
This project is to carry out research on the reconfigurable technology for food handling and packaging particularly for confectionery products and to develop a demonstrator system which proves the idea and concepts of reconfigurability and adaptability in food handling and packaging
Objective

1. Characterise motion and implement manipulation analysis for current confectionery handling and packaging into boxes and cartons;
2. Develop concepts for reconfigurable tooling and innovative adaptable handling mechanisms for confectionery packaging;
3. Deliver a demonstrator for reconfigurable food handling and packaging able to achieve reconfigurability for three different ranges of confectionery products from Bendicks and M&S.
