Description
Summary objective:
Test a semi-automated, genetically based egg identification methods developed under MF0146 “Genetic identification of fish eggs by species specific DNA markers for use in stock biomass assessment” in the field.
Key customer purpose:
Evaluate the application of the semi-automated, genetically based egg identification method as a key element of proposed large-scale ichthyoplankton surveys to be conducted in the North Sea for the purpose of mapping the spawning locations of gadoid species and stock assessment.
