TSE Strain typing : Analysis and interpretation of DATA - SE1779

Description
The objective of this research is to understand: what TSE strain typing tells us about the diseases which are collectively described as TSE, what experimental data are available to test the claims of strain typing, and how strain typing might be done better, in particular through quantitative analysis of data using statistical methods. Such an understanding will inform responses to key policy questions, such as “is there BSE in sheep?”, of vital importance to UK farming and public health.
