The polluter pays principle and agriculture - a European study - OC8813

i) To examine the policy measures designed to control agricultural pollution in selected EC countries and to review these in relation to the "Polluter Pays Principle". ii) To attempt to analyse the degree to which divergent approaches are being adopted and to discuss their implications. The primary focus will be on Belguim,Denmark,France,the Federal Republic of Germany (with reference to at least two Lander),the Netherlands and the UK. The aim will be to increase the transparency of policies in place or being adopted. A final report will be published in English.
