Environmental Protection Expenditure by UK Industry Survey - EV01013

Description
The primary objectives of this survey are to:
(i) Provide Defra with annual estimates of environmental protection expenditure by UK industry; and
(ii) Enable the UK to meet the requirements of the European Union (EU) Structural Business Statistics Regulation (58/97), which provide a tool for regular data collection on the variables and economic activities and is designed to give information on the service sector.
In addition to these broad objectives, annual data from the survey will be used to assess how expenditure is changing and to compare the competitiveness of UK industries relative to other EU countries. The data are also a useful tool for companies and trade assocaitions to benchmark their own environmental performance against that of the industry as a whole both in the UK and the EU. |
