UNECE Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections

The countries that are parties to the UN ECE Convention on Long Range Transboundary Air Pollution must report their national emissions of the pollutants that contribute to acidification, eutrophication, and photochemical smog as well as persistent organic compounds and metals. The Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections (TFEIP) was set up to assist countries with this duty. The Task Force: holds an annual meeting to enable national experts to meet and exchange information, maintains a Guidebook on Inventory best practice, and develops tools to aid countries to report emissions in a consistent and comparable form. The project funds: the co-chairmanship and secretariat of the Task Force, editorial support of the Guidebook, and technical input to the various expert panels which the Task Force uses to generate the Guidebook material.
