Guidebook of Applied Fluvial Geomorphology - FD1914

Project closing statement
The guidebook produced by this project collates and summarises the results of geomorphological R&D projects performed for the EA and its predecessor the NRA during the 1990's, the guidebook will be useful for those who do not have a detailed knowledge of geomorphology but who need to understand and apply its principles in their work.


Summary Objective
To produce a guidebook on the current state of applied fluvial geomorphology based on R&D undertaken for the Environment Agency and the NRA during the 1990s. The guidebook will synthesise and update the findings of several R&D projects undertaken at several UK Universities. Outputs will be made available in a printed report and electronically.

Key Customer Purpose
To capture the current Scientific, Engineering and Technical knowledge in the fluvial field in a format which is accessible to users.
