Using historical datasets to investigate impacts of fishing and climate change on demersal fish assemblages. - MF0730

Description

Summary Objectives:
Undertake an analysis of archived survey data held at CEFAS, FRS and MBA and examine correlation between: fish migrations and climatic fluctuations, fishing intensity and changes in species and taxa (abundance, size and diversity), temperature changes and broad scale distribution of northerly species.

Key Customer Services:
Contribute to an assessment of the extent to which fishing activities and climate change have influenced fish communities, both factors which need to be taken into account in future management plans.
